Surfing Mums Spring Newsletter

Hello fellow Surfing Mums and Friends,

The wonderful warmer weather has injected some energy into my days. How about you?!

We’ve had a fairly quiet Winter – so I’m looking forward to renewing our monthly Sunday meets. Don’t forget we have a monthly scheduled meet at Bar Beach, which is on the 4th Sunday of each month.

The SMI AGM will be held on our weekend in September – who is coming??? So the next Newcastle meet will be Sunday, 8am, October 24th.

Here’s a small newsletter for the Newcastle branch of Surfing Mums. I trust you also received the SMI newsletter that I sent out earlier.

Two things to note:

1. Surfing Mums Inc AGM – 24th to 26th September at Peregian Beach QLD. It would be great to see some Newcastle mums there.

2. Newcastle Surfing Mums Spring BBQ – Sunday 31st October 11am, at Dixon Park on Ocean Street. Details to follow.

Hi All,

The Surfing Mums AGM will be held on the weekend of 24th – 26th October at Peregian Beach in QLD.

I hope you can come. It would be great to have some of the Newcastle group represented.

I’m planning on having a weekend staying at the Peregian Beach Caravan Park. Haven’t booked yet, so anyone wanting to share, just let me know. I may have one or both of my kids with me.

Hi Everyone,

I promised to send through the upcoming dates for our weekend meetings. So here they are:
• Sun 28 Feb
• Sat 13 March – there’s a Wine & Waves Food Festival at Jefferson Park, Merewether Beach from 11am-5pm. So let’s meet at Merewether Beach down in front of the surf club.

• Sun 28 March
• Sat 10 Apr
• Sun 25 Apr
• Sat 8 May
• Sun 23 May
• Sat 12 Jun
• Sun 27 Jun

We seem to be drawn to the Bar Beach area as a group, so let’s make this our base location where we meet at 8am on the nominated days.

Don’t forget – let me know if you’re keen for weekday surfs, as a few of you have mentioned this, and I can get the names and contacts distributed to those interested.
